Terracotta Earrings
Terracotta jewellery is one of the oldest forms of jewellery in the world. Terracotta is an Italian word which means “cooked earth”. Today the Terracotta jewellery makes exotic dressing style when worn with both traditional and new age fashion.
Terracotta jewellery has changed its style from traditional shapes like god, animals to contemporary look by using abstruct shapes, design and charming colour keeping your fashion in mind.
We use only double fired and acrylic based colour painted terracotta jewelleries to prevent the items from easy broken and colour fade.
The process involved
Purifying the clay, shaping and designing the wet clay.
Once the clay becomes dry completely, the pieces are double fired in a kiln at a very high temperature to give a stone like consistency. When the dry pieces are fired, those take a brick colour or even shades of brown and black.
Double fire is done to prevent the items from easy broken.
The clay then kept for cooling and ready for colouring.
To change the clay pieces into jewellery, those are then hand painted with acrylic based colour in a myriad of shades to complement ethnic as well as Indo-Western outfits.
